About the Position: This position is with Defense Health Agency NCR Market Located at Fort Detrick Army Health Clinic.
Hours of operations from 0700 to 1630

Duties
Respond to, resolve, or forward customer requests for Information Technology services or problems.
Serve as point of contact (POC) for day-to-day technical support, administrative support, and troubleshooting that includes telecommunications, automation, security, and customers unique requirements.
Serve as liaison between the Information Management Division and users on technical issues and provide / coordinate technical advice for project leader and activity POC.
Prepare written reports identifying problems and recommending corrective actions.
Assist in analysis of user requirements and defining alternative system approaches.
Participates in automation projects and studies emphasizing on desktop configuration, implementation, and activity-unique services.
Assist with preparation of briefings to team leader, activity POC and Management.
Ensure compliance with all Federal Public Law, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Health Information Portability and Accountability Act, Department of Defense, Department of the Army, and Medical Command statutes and regulations.
Preps LAN accounts.
Images and setup for IT equipment. Specialized equipment with IT components.:
- Radiology
- Laboratory
- Pharmacy automation; queuing systems
- Works with Dental
- Hearing Booth
Primary hand receipt holder for organizational IT equipment.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- This position requires incumbent to obtain or maintain Information Assurance Technical Level I DoD approved certifications within six (6) months of entering employment.
- This position requires incumbent to obtain or maintain System Administrator level II certificates within six (6) months of entering employment.
- Must maintain certifications as condition of employment, Information Assurance Workforce (IAW) Improvement Program DoD 8570m.
- This position requires a valid state issued driver's license.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on any day or shift , including PMs, nights, weekends, holidays, or on an "on call "basis, necessary to meet mission requirements.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant certifications.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience maintaining computer hardware and software; experience providing technical IT advice in direct support of users; and resolving automation problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Have successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

Combination: Have a combination of experience and education: Possess the required experience but less than one year and have at least two years of graduate education as described above, but less than the required three years. The computed percentage of the requirements met must total at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
