Duties
You will perform military operations research analysis in support of the Marine Corps Studies program or Joint and external analysis efforts.
You will be expected to be aware of non-technical issues that may bear on analytical decisions related to studies being performed.
You will plan, coordinate, and lead meetings, conferences, and in-progress reviews attended by diverse organizations.
You will document research in well-written analytical reports and briefings.
You will maintain expertise in various areas areas of operations research.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Applicant should have experience with campaign and mission level models, simulations, and analysis as well as a strong background in calculus based mathematics, data analysis, and statistics.
Experience as a study team lead and participant and the ability to decompose complex problems and construct corresponding analytic approaches is required.
Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to network and work across organizations is desirable, as is fluency with analytical software such as Excel, R, and Python.
Additionally, knowledge of DoD, the Joint Force, and USMC force structure and operations is extremely helpful.
