You will serve as a SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the Capabilities Analysis Branch (CAB), Operations Analysis Directorate (OAD) of MARINE CORPS COMBAT DEVELOPMENT CMD.
Duties
You will provide leadership, guidance, support, and technical advice in planning and executing studies by supervising study leaders and operations research analysts.
You will directly lead studies conducted by military/civilian study teams or contractors working under the Marine Corps Studies System.
You will contribute to the development of methodologies to be used in the analyses of future combat operation, forward presence, crisis responses, combat development, and systems acquisition to include conducting Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs).

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: : Mastery knowledge application of operations research and decision support to military problem specifically in the area of combat development and systems acquisition. This includes fires, maneuver, logistics, command and control (C2), intelligence, seabasing, electronic warfare, aviation, cyber operations, force structure, force employment, and force deployment. -Knowledge and mastery of operations research techniques including mathematical modeling and combat simulations is required. -Mastery knowledge of Marine Corps forces, units, equipment, programs, doctrine, and warfighting concepts is critical. Familiarity with joint analytic agencies across the defense establishment is desired. - Knowledge, skill, and innovation in all aspects of study planning to include assessing an understanding the problems, developing plans and approaches, devising new methods or extending theory to new and unusual applications.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
