You will serve as a Program Manager in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Systems Acquisition Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will manage and support the team to achieve program technical, cost and schedule objectives
You will develop and coordinate all required program acquisition documentation and briefings; and ensure all program requirements and milestones are communicated and coordinated with program leadership.
You will develop and promulgate detailed program budgets with internal and external stakeholders through the PPBE process.
You will identify program office and other discipline area support needed to meet assigned program requirements
You will apply the tools and techniques of process identification and continuous process improvement in addressing program management problems and issues.
You will serve as the central point of contact within the program office for all matters concerning the program.
You will advise higher-level officials of program status and problems that require resolution

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
DAWIA Requirement: This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and has been identified as a Career Field A-Program Management, at Level II - Practitioner. You are responsible for meeting applicable DAWIA certification requirements, including maintaining currency in your career field.
