This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, in the Office of Quality Operations. As a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising a staff of Scientists, Program Analysts, and Quality Assurance Specialists who support management, acquisition, training, and budget activities required for sustaining the BEP's Quality Management System and the mission of the Quality Directorate.

Duties

As a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist, you will: Facilitate the development of measures for BEP Quality Objectives, including design and development of Score Cards to ensure all areas have objectives that are measurable and can be base-lined and tracked. Ensure processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented, and maintained. Promote awareness, understanding, and use of the QMS across the BEP. Prepare meeting materials and coordinate the conduct of quarterly management reviews to assess the effectiveness of the QMS including progress in continually improving the QMS. Develop and provide training across the BEP on ISO-9001 (International Organization for Standardization) and QMS.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: Performing Quality Assurance practices and principles in a manufacturing facility; AND Performing work in accordance with Quality Management Systems requirements; AND Experience with procurement/acquisitions for an organization. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
