You will serve as an ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC INSPECTOR LDR in the Missile Branch, Weapons Operation Division of NMCPAC CWD DET LEMOORE.
Duties
You will lead three or more Ordnance Equipment Mechanic Inspectors.
You will perform a variety of journey level ordnance equipment mechanic duties involved in the assembly, disassembly, maintenance and repair of assigned missiles and components.
You will perform inspections during receipt, issue, shipment, segregation and storage of ordnance and ordnance related components.
You will lead and assist ordnance equipment mechanic inspectors in performing explosive ordnance and component operations.
You will remain abreast of the progress of work to assure all accountability, safety and security procedures have been and/or are beling followed.
You will inspect work of other production personnel to ensure all operations and performance specifications are within prescribed parameters.
You will inspect computer control groups, guidance sections, propulsion units and all other components and assemblies.
You will prepare andcomplete certification and inspection documents.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Explosives certification.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
