Duties
As a Human Resources Assistant (Information Systems) you are a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Workforce Support Branch (WSB) of the Human Capital Office (HCO) within the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate (MRSD) in Glynco, Georgia. In this position you will be responsible for providing support for personnel-related programs; processing various personnel actions, including Time and Attendance (T&A); conducting research and providing technical support to employees and officials related to T&A; processing payroll elections; and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of various program assignments. You will service employees at the FLETC-Glynco, GA; FLETC-Washington Office; FLETC-Artesia, NM; FLETC-Charleston, SC; and FLETC-Cheltenham, MD.

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service providing information systems support for human resources related programs; processing a variety of personnel actions including T & A in automated information systems; conducting research and providing technical support to management and employees related to T&A and the processing of personnel actions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps and AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel Management must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
Time-in-Grade: Current and former GS federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06 grade level in the federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
