This position is located in the Librarian and Centers Administration, Chief of Staff, Office of the Librarian. The position description number for this position is 396787. The salary range indicated reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area. The incumbent of this position will work a flextime work schedule. This is a non-supervisory, non-bargaining unit position.

Duties

The position is located in the Office of the Chief of Staff within the Office of Librarian (LIBN). The incumbent reports to the Supervisory Program Management Specialist and provides support across the service unit to the Librarian of Congress, Principal Deputy Librarian, Chief of Staff and to division office units.

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to problem solve and make recommendations related to administrative and program needs.** Ability to perform administrative support functions.** Ability to perform program management duties and tasks.** Ability to serve as a liaison and interact collaboratively with others. Ability to utilize computer technology. Ability to communicate in writing. Ability to plan and execute work. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
