The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Chief, Integrated Resilience Division in the Directorate of Manpower, Personnel and Service at a major command (MAJCOM) with responsibility for directing the activities of the Division.

Duties

As Division Chief, plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Division. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with AETC, HQ USAF, DoD, and other Agencies. Develops, refines and implements the MAJCOM strategic vision for DEIA, RDI and Affirmative Employment.

Requirements

  • May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties.
  • TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL BE PAID in accordance with the JTR AND AFMAN 36-606
  • This is a CENTRALLY MANGAGED position
  • This is a Supervisory Position in which a supervisory probation period may be required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, for GS-0301, Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following: Administrative work in support of the Integrated Resilience Division at AETC, this organization oversees and assists in the implementation of Diversity Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility, Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Employment, interpersonal and self-directed violence prevention integration, suicide prevention and other community resilience program initiatives throughout the AETC command. Work overseen by this position significantly impact the provision of important human resource services to the AETC Command. These services are divided into two main branches, the True North branch that oversees the implementation of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program and the Rated Diversity Improvement Branch that oversees the improvement of diversity in the USAF workforce. Additional programs may be assigned as needed to the organization. The work supervised by this position affects how work is carried out by installations command-wide FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-14 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-15 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to all integrated resilience and diversity & inclusion. 2. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of DOD and Air Force organizations to provide command level staff guidance for integrated resilience. 3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and supervise, mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors. 4. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of subordinate organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. 5. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
