About the Office:
The Western District of Pennsylvania US Attorney's Office is an energetic and collegial office of 131 employees which prosecutes federal offenses, defends the US Government's interests, and affirmatively pursues claims on behalf of the government, representing the US in all criminal prosecution, and civil and appellate litigation in the Western District of Pennsylvania. Duties
The United States Attorney's Office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is seeking an Assistant U.S. Attorney for its Economic/Cyber/National Security Crimes Section within the Office's Criminal Division. This AUSA will have the responsibility to prosecute offenses involving cyber-enabled criminal conduct, including computer intrusions, ransomware attacks, email spoofing, business-email compromise schemes, trade secret theft, and money laundering activity involving cryptocurrencies. Cybercrime investigations are frequently international in scope and involve developing technology. In addition, this AUSA will be expected to handle investigations covering the Office's broader array of criminal enforcement, including white collar crime, national security investigations, and narcotics and firearms prosecutions, among others.
Applicants must demonstrate personal integrity, good judgment, analytical ability, and excellent organizational, interpersonal, and litigation skills. In addition, applicants must be willing to follow rules and directives, and work in a supportive and professional manner with other attorneys, support staff, and client agencies.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Residency Requirements: Assistant United States Attorneys generally must reside in the district to which he or she is appointed or within 25 miles thereof. See 28 U.S.C. 545 for district-specific information.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least 1* year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience.
