The Chief Executive Officer will report to the Director of Field Operations. The Chief Executive Officer exercises direct line responsibility and full accountability for managing all activities in the Hopi Service Unit. This leadership responsibility is carried out within the broad Agency guidelines and full recognition of the professional and technical expertise possessed by subordinate managers and staff (i.e., health professionals and physicians).
Duties

Develops, establishes, and directs the implementation and execution of overall policies and procedures for the administration and operations of a comprehensive health care delivery system.
Identifies the changing needs of the beneficiary populations and initiates program improvements and modifications to meet them, to achieve Agency goals and objectives, while making the best possible use of available financial, human, and material resources.
Assumes a leadership role in developing personnel management policies for the health care system and in dealing with personnel actions which affect key employees or that may have possible serious repercussions.
Supervises the staff and manages their activities and work flow including timeline adherence, training on job responsibilities, workforce development, performance management, and ongoing support.
Establishes priorities for needed personnel, services, supplies and equipment, allocating available funds accordingly.
Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Individual Occupational Requirement: An Undergraduate and Graduate Education with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration is determined to be essential to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Applicants who do not meet this requirement are ineligible for further consideration.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-0670-15:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Managing all activities of a health care delivery system that included progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. Work that has been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with direct line responsibility and full accountability over such facilities.
You must meet all qualification requirements by the cutoff date to be referred on the certificate of eligible.
