A Dental Officer is a licensed dentist who serves in the United States Armed Forces. Their primary responsibility is to provide dental care services to military personnel and their dependents. They are responsible for diagnosing and treating dental and oral diseases, performing routine dental exams, cleaning teeth, filling cavities, and extracting teeth when necessary. Dental Officers also provide education and counseling to patients about oral hygiene and preventive care. They must maintain accurate records and reports of their treatments and adhere to strict military regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation.
