You will serve as a PLANNER ESTIMATOR (GEN) in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.
Duties
You will prepare various kinds of contract performance work statements.
You will perform planning and estimating assignments for equipment installation or maintenance.
You will obtain proper clearances and approvals regarding safety, fire prevention, sanitation, etc.
from proper officials.
You will visit work site in order to gain information from field inspection and investigation for the scope requirements.
You will determine labor and material costs for minor new construction, repairs, alterations, maintenance, and prototype work relating to research and technical development projects.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You may occasionally be required to travel from permanent duty station.
Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Plan and estimate costs and time factors involved in minor construction, repairs, alterations, maintenance, and prototypes work related to research and technical development projects; 2) Read, interpret, and apply specifications, blue prints, and shop sketches; 3) Provide oversight in maintenance planning and estimating in industrial trades.
