About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical center in San Antonio, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Orders, receives and performs quality control actions of the medical and non-medical supplies/inventory. Updates, corrects, and revises database for all activities on the floor utilizing the material distribution issue procedure. Develops database reports and automated routines for use with systems. Coordinates housekeeping requirements with Housekeeping and maintains customer complaint file. Ensures that all procurement transactions properly interface with the various computerized programs to ensure financial accounting. Makes entries in the system to adjust stock levels and add new items as called for by customers. Determines quantities required to maintain adequate customer satisfaction and accommodation. Ensures that all expired, damaged, or hazardous medical items are properly removed from stock.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
