About the Position: Works under general supervision of the Scheduling Branch Chief, G33, G3/5/7, Fires Center of Excellence (FCOE), who makes assignments in terms of broad objectives and scope. Provides recommendations for proper substitutions or alternative options in support of facility requests in order to ensure maximum support and minimum disruption of training.

Duties

Reviews and coordinates all facility support requirements in support of Fires Center of Excellence training. Ensures all resource requirements have been planned, coordinated and approved. Conducts and attends meetings and makes recommendations to ensure maximum resource utilization for all Fires Center of Excellence Program of instruction and training support requirements. Plans and accomplishes work independently in accordance with pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required

Coordinate w/ the training specialist and/or instructor regarding the administrative aspects of management training activities that include facilitating logistical support for training, maintaining student records using an automated database, and preparing correspondence and reports; and 2). Maintain a training course schedule for an organization, adjust training schedules to meet an organization's needs, and coordinate travel arrangements using an automated travel database. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalManages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
