The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the USSPACECOM subject matter expert on all issues related to logistics support to space operations and directs the coordination of USSPACECOM planning efforts regarding support to space operations and the integration of USSPACECOM Operational Plans (OPLANs) and the OPLANs of other Combatant Commands. Duties

To conduct operations in, from, and through space to deter conflict, and if necessary, defeat aggression, deliver space combat power for the Joint/Combined force, and defend U.S. vital interests with allies and partners. Salary Range: This is an NH-03 position with full salary potential within that band, however the initial salary range offered for this position will be $90,961.00 to $140,616.00 which includes locality pay percentage, unless statutory or regulatory rules prevail. Follow on salary increases based on contribution MAY be earned within the full salary of the NH-03 pay band. Serves as a strategic planner and exercise planner to develop well-documented feasible and executable concepts, plans and activities to meet program objectives and USSPACECOM's Unified Command Plan (UCP) mission sets. Supports development of space ops mission Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) during deliberate and crisis action planning. Collaborates with SPACECOM J4 staff to establish policies governing implementation of plans and provides authoritative guidance for operational and exercise planning efforts.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions for Logistics Management Series, 0346. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include include demonstrating knowledge of Joint operational doctrine and understanding of USSPACECOM's assigned mission and organizational structure and DoD, JCS, and the Services vision and strategic planning documents relating to logistics. Extensive knowledge of JMETL development, Defense readiness reporting System (DRRS) inputs, Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS), and Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD). Comprehensive knowledge of the theories and principles of integrated defense acquisition, technology, and logistics total life systems management, planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate space logistics. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Demonstrated knowledge of Joint operational doctrine and understanding of USSPACECOM's assigned mission and organizational structure and DoD, JCS, and the Services vision and strategic planning documents relating to logistics. 2. Extensive knowledge of JMETL development, Defense readiness reporting System (DRRS) inputs, Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS), and Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD). 3. Comprehensive knowledge of the theories and principles of integrated defense acquisition, technology, and logistics total life systems management, planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate space logistics. 4. Ability to develop and implement innovative approaches to resolve unusual/difficult issues significantly impacting command-wide policies or programs. 5. Exceptional ability to solve broad organizational issues, implement strategic plans within and across organizational components, and ensure a cooperative teamwork environment. 6. Advanced skill sufficient to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships with diverse groups and executive-level command management. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
