Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior logistics management specialist in support of DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3).

Duties

Serves as the logistics management specialist providing critical mission related logistics support in support of key cyber related training and operational programs and objectives. Serve as fleet management POC for all DC3 personnel. Renders vehicle training for all incoming personnel. Coordinates for material support through local warehouses using techniques and local procedures for receipt, custody, care and/or distribution of materiel. Serves as a Government Purchase Card holder, executes the most efficient methods to meet the customers' requirements while still conforming to regulatory guidelines.

  • This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station. Incumbent may be required to travel by various military or commercial means (e.g., airplane, automobile) in the performance of duty.
  • The employee may be required to work overtime and is required to be available to work other than normal duty hours, which may include weekends, evenings, and/or holidays. May be recalled to duty.
  • This position requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.
  • This position meets the administrative exemption criteria for the Fair Labor Standards Act (5 CFR 551.206).

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Logistics Management Series 0346. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of theories and principles of logistics management. Solid knowledge of vehicle control management policy, Government Purchase Card (GPC) procedure requirements and warehouse procedures to function as technical authority on vehicle operations and purchases for the DC3. Dense knowledge in lifecycle management for General Services Administration (GSA) fleet vehicles at a high organizational level to resolve problems or issues and/or the impact of emerging policies, techniques, etc., on support programs conducted in a regionalized environment and potentially all agency operations. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Ability to communicate orally and in writing, including gather, analyze, organize, and present data and supporting analyses. Ability to use office automation tools and techniques to design and generate reports, briefing materials, and/or comparable documents. Knowledge of logistics management principles, concepts, policies, regulations, functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of this position and a means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems. Knowledge and experience using a laboratory information management system for procurement processes. Ability to interpret specialized documentation and descriptions pertaining to computer and other technical equipment, including computer software. Knowledge of computer hardware to the component level. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
