About the Position: This position is located with the Army Sustainment Command, 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Fort McCoy WI
Duties
Serve as the Government Accountable Officer for Ammunition Supply Point services which include receipt, storage, issue, shipment and accountability for the installation's Class V supplies (ammunition, explosives, missiles/rockets and residue).
Use a variety of supply system automated reports/data to resolve problems and make improvements in warehouse procedures.
Manage and account for the assigned ammunition, associated materiel, and Army Support Activity Stock Record Account records.
Approve/disapprove issue of ammunition; and certify residue is explosive free and determine destination.
Ensure all munitions stocks (including related components and packing materials/residue generated during the consumption of munitions) are properly accounted for and maintained.
Monitor Ammunition Supply Point personnel to ensure forecasted training ammunition, munitions, and operational loads are requisitioned, received, stored, issued, retrograded, and residue processed.
Determine resource requirements (financial and manpower) and materials necessary to accomplish long-range work schedules.
Analyze work plans and monitor the status of their work in relation to the overall schedule requirements, including unanticipated or emergency requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.
- Occasional temporary duty travel may be required.
- A pre-employment and subject random drug testing is required.
- Subject to on-call and irregular hours of work.
- This position is subject to the Lautenberg amendment to the gun control act of 1968 which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program).

Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled which includes: 1) Managing an organization's ammunition supply operations; 2) Receiving, storing, issuing, and/or shipping ammunition, explosives, or related chemical agents; 3) Conducting and/or maintaining inventory accountability; and 4) Utilizing automated supply systems and/or databases to accomplish assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position (or equivalent) in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
