Duties
You will serve as the primary administrative official with the primary responsibility of financial tracking, purchasing, planning, development and other administrative requirements
You will conduct accident prevention surveys in a variety of establishments where a single inspection often identifies hazards ranging from serious to minor in severity.
You will prepare reports of findings.
You will perform periodic inspections of facilities and operations and evaluate compliance with applicable regulations.
You will develop safety training material for us in training supervisors and employees using a wide variety of materials, publications, exhibits protective devices and visual aids.
You will implement pertinent federal regulations, including OSHA standards in the workplace.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position requires extensive walking, standing, stretching, bending and lifting up to 85 lbs,
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in the conduct of risk assessments/hazard analysis, formulation of corrective/preventative actions, and performing a wide variety of support duties in a safety program or identifying, preventing, or eliminating safety hazards in work methods or environmental conditions.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of two full years of graduate education or a master's degree directly related to the work of the position.
