Duties

You will direct the work of four or more Housing office employees planning, developing, scheduling, implementing, and overall technical oversight for the PPV housing. You will work with the Housing Installation Program Manager (HIPM) to develop and implement short-range and long-range plans for construction. You will mediate between tenants and privatized property management.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • The position often requires irregular hours. This position requires rotating shift work. This position requires evening and weekend work.
  • Temporary appointments may be extended up to 3 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assigning work, reviews work, and accepts or rejects work products, proving additional guidance as necessary; 2) Maintaining the application of budget/ fund management principles, concepts, and procedures to the full range of housing budget activates to develop and execute the budget for assigned projects; 3) Analyzing current and past operations and mantainance expenditures and in determining future requirements.
