THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This National Guard position is for a TRAINING TECHNICIAN (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5535000 and is part of the FL JFHQ, National Guard.

Duties

As a Training Technician, GS-1702-09, you will administer and oversee the Individual Training Management Program within the state. The incumbent exercises technical responsibility for the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS), Army Funding Allocation Module (AFAM), Automated Funds Control and Orders System (AFCOS), and Training Utilization Module (TUM) as it pertains to individual training. Provide program assistance and guidance to training personnel in the operations and maintenance of various automated systems.

• Incumbent must possess or be able to acquire the appropriate level security clearance for this position.
• Enrollment in Direct Deposit is mandatory.
• Candidates must possess a valid State driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.

Qualifications

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of?Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to US citizens interested in helping the Department of the Army meet our mission requirements as a Training Technician. PCS:Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade which provides knowledge and/or experience, education or training with Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures. Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies. Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts. Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events.
