You will serve as the Senior Inventory Management Specialist responsible to the Supply Officer and Deputy Supply Officer for accountability of Table of Allowance (TOA) equipment and systems. You will serve as the primary point of contact for TOA inventory management. This position is located within the Supply Department (N43) of NAVY EXPEDITIONARY INTELL CMD -NEIC in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Duties

You will maintain Defense Property Accountability Systems-Warehouse Management/Property Accountability (DPAS-WM/PA) Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) to control command supplies and Table of Allowance (TOA) requirements. You will maintain an established automated tracking system of equipment, systems, and supplies including identification of equipment. You will accurately establish and keep paper and electronic records concerning equipment, funds, supplies, and other property record information. You will maintain records, prepare shipments, accept deliveries, prepare shipping documents, verify accuracy of material requests, record items removed from inventory and tracking material requests and fill orders. You will support and maintain procurement analysis processes of an inventory management system. You will handle material and move to and from storage and/or staging areas.

  • This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • This job involves frequent standing, bending, walking, and stretching as well as lifting and moving of boxes.
  • This job may require spending time in storage rooms, Connex containers, or outside on loading platforms, where exposed to the weather.
  • Must be able to efficiently and safely lift cartons of various sizes and shapes not to exceed 50 lbs each.
  • This job requires a valid driver’s license—must be capable of obtaining a government vehicle operator’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Furnish material management and procurement process analysis and technical support for routine, emergency, and recurring work for an organization; Identify, analyze, and record material condition, replacement, and repair requirements through a defined property management plan; Research and compute freight weights and cube measurements to satisfy various shipping methods and documentation OR completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.M., if related.
