This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Rocky Mountains Division.
This position(s) primary purpose is to provide technical assistance on all administrative functions including data processing, office automation, equipment and property accountability, logistics management including fleet, personal property (accountable and non-accountable), supply management, human resource liaison, records management, and management of the Task Force Officer (TFO) program.
Duties
As a Mission Support Assistant (OA), your typical work assignments may include:
Providing administrative support work relating to the coordination, resolution, and disposition of actions and assignments that are essential to the organization.
Communicating both orally and in writing to establish and maintain effective relationships and prepare documents and present information to various audiences, and to coordinate internal and external communications.
Using multiple office automation software to produce graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets.
Suggesting and recommending improvements and modifications to processes.
Assisting with logistics functions to include supply management, inventory management, accountable property management, facility management, and transportation and fleet management/maintenance.

Applicants must meet all of the required qualification requirements described below by the closing of this announcement. If you are qualifying based on education or if there are mandatory education requirements listed below, you MUST submit a copy of your college transcript with your application.
Applicants applying for the GS-06 must meet the following requirements: Have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-05 grade level.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing automated systems to prepare correspondence, data entry, and presentations; 2) Responding to emails and telephone calls to attend office inquiries; 3) Entering data into filing system to secure information; 4) Following office protocols, attending customers in accordance with established guidelines.
Applicants applying for the GS-07 must meet the following requirements: Have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-06 grade level.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supporting customers with questions in regard to office correspondence, data entry, and presentations; 2) Responding to critical emails and telephone calls that require discretion and tact; 3) Maintaining data filing system and secures information; 4) Using multiple sources to gather data, and preparing reports; 5) Supporting one or two of the following administrative functions; human resources, fleet management, property management, logistics and inspections.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
