This position is responsible for the design and implementation of an all-encompassing marketing program. Identifies, establishes and maintains communication needs and develops informational materials that are informative of the policies, services and activities of MWR. Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining social interactive application sites and interactive programs that pushes the mission and markets NSB Kings Bay MWR as a "customer-driven" organization.
Duties
- Maintains editorial staff work for production of MWR publicity and marketing publications.
- Assists with the solicitation of the MWR Department Heads and branch managers for informational input for all publications including collaboration to ensure that the content is current, accurate, audience friendly and of high quality.
- Ensures the timely development, layout, writing, editing, proofing, printing and distribution of all MWR publications and advertisements.
- Responsible for the production of graphic art services to MWR facilities, such as but not limited to, flyers, posters, signs, banners, print media, photography and in some cases video promotional vehicles which will be used to promote the department.
- Responsible to coordinate and market for an ongoing Indoctrination system that includes on-site briefing to military personnel reporting to the component and tenant commands supported by the NSB Kings Bay composite recreation fund.
- Promotes a wide range of MWR activities for authorized patrons and guests through print media, email and social networks.
- Creates art, graphics, photographs graphics and other multimedia files as necessary for integration on websites and other online/social interactive sites, ensuring the copy is suited for web browsing yet conveys enough information to interest and inform the customer.
- Update, revise, or remove internet content in a timely manner.
- Manages a response system for web-generated e-mail, phone calls, and regular mail, ensuring that responses are timely and that they reflect well on the Department.
- Stays current with latest graphic design programs, user interface and web technology trends.
- Ensures integrity of communications by keeping informed on legislation and DOD policies that affect internet and web site content.
- Works an irregular tour of duty.
- Other related duties as may be assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
- Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
- May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
- Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National.
- A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.
- Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must live within the commuting area (50 miles) of Zip Code 31547.
Qualifications

Experience must demonstrate the following:
Two+ years of related experience in print graphics, multimedia and web design. Experience that demonstrates knowledge and application of graphic arts, web site design, social networking and other visual media.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, administrative support skills, and strong organization skills.
Skilled in various computer and software programs.
