This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, San Carlos Irrigation Project in Coolidge, Arizona.
Serves as the Supervisory Construction Control Specialist, overseeing all aspects of construction
for the San Carlos Irrigation Project Power Division. Provides supervision and oversight of
construction and asset management programs and scheduling functions of the SCIP Power
Division.
Duties
Establish engineering and technical limitations and applications for items, materials, processes, methods, designs, and engineering
practices for use by designers of machines and equipment.
Prepare specification sheets and standard drawings designating parts and materials acceptable for specific uses, using knowledge of primary engineering discipline and related disciplines.
Develop and maintain an inspection and maintenance program, including the development of drawings and diagrams of the electric power system and the development of documented standards.
Act as Power Division SME on industrial, safety, local, state national and international standards regarding utility operations, such as
FERC, NERC, OSHA, ANSI, IEE, ISA, etc.
Communicate with management of industrial organization to maintain knowledge of current and proposed projects in order to develop
appropriate standards for design and production of new items.

Qualifications
GS-13 Minimum Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
General Experience: (l) Any type of work that demonstrates the applicant's ability to perform the work of the position, or (2) experience that provided a familiarity with the subject matter or processes of the broad subject area of the occupation.
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants who have the 1 year of appropriate specialized experience, as indicated in the table, are not required by this standard to have general experience, education above the high school level, or any additional specialized experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements.
