About the Position: Incumbent will serve as principal advisor and technical expert to the commander and key staff members on financial management activities. Provides oversight regarding fiscal policy and law, Program Objective Memorandum (POM) input, risk analysis, Internal Management Controls, civilian pay issues, installation bank and credit union activities, budget and program matters.

Duties

Serve as liaison with installation resource managers regarding resource matters to transmit and implement Department of the Army Headquarters, Installation Management Agency and Garrison resource program Promote understanding, acceptance and efficiency of resource management and management analysis concepts, techniques, and practices; and coordinates crucial problems, matters of a policy nature Provide leadership, direction, and coordination of Garrison resource management programs and activities. Coordinate functions to provide integrated Garrison-wide financial management and analysis. Establish and implement policies on administration, personnel management, training, and utilization. Delegates authority to subordinate supervisors and program managers and holds them responsible for the performance of their organizational elements

  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 3 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation may be required unless previously completed.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually there after
