About the Position: Serves as the first line of contact for the Army's wounded, injured, and ill soldiers and family members regarding the quality of patient care. Provide senior Army leaders with visibility on medically-related issues.
Duties
Utilize the toll-free call line to respond to soldiers, veterans, family members/caregivers, and the general public who are seeking information about their medical care or medical administrative problems.
Utilize a secure individual-locating software application to determine the most current location and contact information of the soldier/veteran, recording it in the ARCS.
Conduct congressionally mandated satisfaction assessments at 6 month, 12 month, and 18 month intervals after separation with all soldiers separating from the Soldier Recovery Unit (SRU).
Identify process and program improvements or enhancements to provide a touchpoint of support for the soldier, veteran, families, and caregivers.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experiencewhich includes working with the Soldiers and their family members helping to reduce stressors during and after their transition from the Army; sharing concerns regarding the quality of patient care; ensuring that medical related issues are routed through the appropriate channels; utilizing several types of software packages for different office and program support needs, such as, personnel databases (e.g., Iperms/DEERS/CLEAR); the Army Recovery Case System (ARCS); electronic survey systems; automated telephone systems/software applications; word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, and electronic mail applications).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
