This position is located on the staff of the Technical Training and Development Division (TTDD), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
The mission of the TTDD is to serve as the focal point for NRCS training, providing timely, sequential, competency-based training that is fundamental to resource conservation.
Duties
Responsible for delivering and facilitating NRCS course curriculum/s using adult learning delivery methods and classroom visual/audio equipment, while effectively managing class time.
Coordinates NRCS training courses; manages all aspects of the classroom (layout, schedule, classroom culture, etc.); and keeps accurate records of participant attendance and assessment records.
Serves as a classroom instructor and is required to teach in virtual classroom environments (webinars or video-teleconferencing).
Reviews, analyses, and evaluates training programs to determine their quality and overall effectiveness.
Requirements
- You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.

- Successful completion of one-year probationary period, unless previously served.

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. (Please submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No Award or General Adjustment SF-50's will be accepted).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:
Specialized Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that included:
developing training learning objectives and course content and format;
recommending appropriate changes to instructional methods and course content to maintain technical accuracy and validity;
applying adult learning strategies, principles and methods used in training and education; and
developing and delivering training curricula in a variety of areas, such as leadership, supervision, employee development, and/or diversity, equity and inclusion.
