Duties

Identifies improperly functioning parts for repair or replacement using on-board computer diagnostic systems and other test equipment. Determine whether parts should be cleaned or replaced. Install, adjust and set automotive systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and tests the completed product. Preforms other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 LBS independently and occasionally move over 50 with assistance or mechanical devices.
• A physical is required.

Skill and Knowledge: Knowledge of the various techniques for removing, replacing, cleaning and installing parts and components. Skill to makeadjustments and settings and in the operation of tools and equipment used. Understanding of diagnostic and test equipment; the make-up andoperation of systems and their interrelationship.
