This position is located at the Bowling Center, Fort Buchanan, Building 168, Bailey Road. Duties

Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items. Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff. Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips. Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Physical Effort: Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Stands for prolonged periods.
• Work schedule may be irregular. The incumbent may be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.
• Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position to include a physical and Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements: Applicant must: 1. Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment. 2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds. 3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. 4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. HIGHLY PREFERRED Are those candidates that possess both the minimum qualifications above and at least one of the following: Those who possess a Bartender Certification Those who possess a minimum of one year of experience as a Bartender PLEASE NOTE: Applicants that are considered highly preferred and may be sent first for consideration.
