Duties
Serves as the senior technical advisor and consultant to the Chief, Planning Branch, the District and the Division Commanders, staff elements, and subordinate organizations on Civil Works General Investigation studies
Represents the District during the Washington-level review of studies and decision documents, and actively participates in the defense of proposed Civil Works studies and projects
Monitors and evaluates district planning program performance and recommends appropriate actions
Represents the District at conferences and meetings on matters pertaining to policy and development of environmental policy and plans for water resources and related land use projects
Develops procedures for conducting quality assurance programs and provides technical oversight
Leads the development of Chiefβs reports to request authorization from congress for the construction of multi-million dollar flood risk management, inland navigation, and ecosystem restoration projects

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or
possessions to operate vehicles.
