You will serve as a BATTLE RHYTHM MANAGER in the Knowledge Management Office, Chief of Staff, of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Duties

You will provide direct support to the Chief of Staff in all matters regarding the development, refinement, coordination, and execution of Battle Rhythm in support of USINDOPACOM missions and responsibilities. You will organize and direct Battle Rhythm management events and guides the development of the battle rhythm. You will develop Battle Rhythm tools, plans, orders, guidance and execution directives. You will regularly develop and present USINDOPACOM briefs to Flag/General officer and Senior Executive Service (SES) audiences internal and external to USINDOPACOM. You will have habitual and direct interaction with Flag Officers/General Officers (FOGO) and Civilian equivalents during the planning, approval, and execution functions of duty.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating an expert knowledge of the policy, procedures, processes, and information flow associated with battle rhythm management. I also possess a mastery of knowledge and acumen in applying advanced principles, concepts, methods, standards, and procedures for: (1) developing and interpreting policies, procedures and strategies governing joint military operations; (2) providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations on issues; and (3) making recommendations that significantly influence policies and programs. I am able to communicate extremely well both orally and in writing. Specialized experience must demonstrate: 1) Developing, refining, coordinating, and executing battle rhythm to support command decision cycle and facilitate operations; 2) Applying a knowledge of tactical, operational, and strategic planning processes as well as military operational art; 3) Establishing processes and procedures to ensure an adequate flow of information to enable decision-making and subsequent operations spanning the entire continuum of operations. GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating a proficient knowledge of the policy, procedures, processes, and information flow associated with battle rhythm management. I also possess a widespread knowledge of and acumen in applying advanced principles, concepts, methods, standards, and procedures for: (1) assisting with the development and interpretation of policies, procedures and strategies governing joint military operations; (2) providing technical advice, guidance, and recommendations on issues; and (3) assisting with the creation of recommendations that could significantly influence policies and programs. I am able to communicate extremely well both orally and in writing. Specialized experience must demonstrate: 1) Developing, refining, coordinating, and executing battle rhythm to support command decision cycle and facilitate operations; 2) Applying a knowledge of tactical, operational, and strategic planning processes as well as military operational art; 3) Establishing processes and procedures to ensure an adequate flow of information to enable decision-making and subsequent operations spanning the entire continuum of operations.
