This position is in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) National Training Center (NTC), Office of Safety Programs, under the Office of Safety. The position is physically located at the National Training Center in Vienna, VA.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include:
Experience in managing FMCSA's NTC Federal and non-Federal Motor Carrier Safety training program.
Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training to Federal, non-Federal, and State personnel (nation-wide) on motor carrier safety and hazardous materials regulations, compliance and enforcement programs, drug interdiction, and new or modified programs affecting the motor carrier industry on a continuing basis.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Education and Training - Knowledge of teaching, training, research, making presentations, lecturing, testing, and other instructional methods. lecturing, testing, and other instructional methods.
Grants Management - Knowledge of requirements, practices, and procedures for soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and processing proposals, and awarding and administering grants and agreements.
Human Capital Management - Builds and manages workforce based on organizational goals, budget considerations, and staffing needs. Ensures that employees are appropriately recruited, selected, appraised, and rewarded; takes action to address performance problems. Manages a multi-sector workforce and a variety of work situations.
