Duties
This position is in the Intelligence Services Bureau (ISB), Protective
and Intelligence Operations, United States Capitol Police (USCP). The primary mission of the USCP is to protect
life and property; prevent, detect, and investigate criminal acts; and enforce
traffic regulations throughout a large complex of congressional buildings,
parks, and thoroughfares. The purpose of this position is to perform the full range of financial
and administrative program functions and services including
analyzing workflow and process issues, budget preparation and execution,
managing financial information, and administration of human resources
activities for the unit.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.For
the CP-08 you must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent
to the CP-07/GS-09 level that is in or
directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled. Specialized
experience consists of: 1) assisting in the preparation
of budget estimates and justifications; 2) monitoring and tracking expenditures;
3) assisting in acquisition management; 4) providing administrative support to
a program or organization in time and attendance, travel, and human resources
activities; and 5) assisting in studies of work processes and identifying
problems and making tentative recommendations.For the CP-09 you must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the CP-08/GS-10 level that is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience consists of: 1) performing budget formulation and execution; 2) formulating and administering effective financial and budgetary controls; 3) managing the acquisition of resources or services; 4) providing administrative support to a program or organization in time and attendance, travel, and human resources activities; and 5) planning and conducting analytical studies or program analyses and documenting findings and recommendations.All eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.(Information on Qualification & Education is located at the following link: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/)
