This TRAINING TECHNICIAN position, is located at an Air National Guard (ANG) Group Commander's Support Staff (CSS) unit and is part of the CA 129 RQW.
Duties
THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE INDEFINITE POSITION
Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered.
The primary purpose of the TRAINING TECHNICIAN, GS-1702-9, is to evaluate and manage the training and education program on behalf of the ANG (e.g., Mission Support Group, Operations Group, Flying Training Group, Fighter Group, Bomb Group, Cyber Operations Group) and its subordinate units. The role of this Group Training Manager (GTM) is to function as the Group Commander's key staff member responsible for overall oversight and management of the training and educational program.
Qualifications
General Experience: Possess experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise demonstrates the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position
TRAINING TECHNICIAN, GS-1702-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-08 level experience in knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures; Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures; Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies; Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts; Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events.
