Duties
Supervises an organization that involves budgetary and programming responsibility for GI, CG, MILCON and IIS appropriations.
Directs the work of division of professional, technical, administrative, and support employees.
Serves as a senior management official on issues relating to assigned programs.
Coordination is required with other Federal agencies, states, cities, counties, flood protection (control), environmental restoration, water conservation, supply, and irrigation districts, and Military installations.
Provides information, advice and recommendations to top agency managers concerning the status, availability, obligation and expenditure of budgetary funds.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience in program life cycle management for Civil Works, Interagency & International Services, and/or Military programs, which includes managing the formulation of program or project budgets, revenue forecasting, and performing funds control functions including the management of existing funds from a wide variety of customers and appropriations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
