This position is located in the PRC Branch of Cheyenne River Service Unit. The primary purpose of this position is to perform budget technician duties in the support of the PRC Administrator. This position will further provide clerical and technical support
to the subordinates in the PRC office.
Duties
Provide updated budgetary information on appropriated funded accounts within Patient Referred Care.
Complies and summarize cost data that will be utilized for committee meetings.
Files documents in accordance with standardized office procedures.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: perform routine procedures for filing, routing, and updating budgetary forms; provides up-to-date budgetary information when requested; works with a variety of budget transactions and compiles status of funds reports.
OR;
Completed 4 years of education above the high school level.
OR;
Combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for GS-05 grade level.
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: prepares budget reports of current funds and projected cost managed; resolve problems in balancing accounts and adjusting discrepancies; maintain detailed reports of budgetary transactions (e.g. allowances, expenditures, reimbursements, cancellations and transfers of funds.)
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: process a variety of budgetary transactions and compile status of funds reports for appropriated funded activities and accounts; identify the type of transaction; extract, compile, and verify cost and workload data; compute and adjust account balances; prepare required budgetary forms and records.
OR;
Completed 1 year (18 semester hours) of graduate education that is directly related to the work of the position.
OR;
Combination of specialized experience and graduate education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
