Duties

You will determine resources requirements for maintenance and repair of various boats or marine service craft. You will Oversee, direct, and review maintenance schedules, overhaul work packages, testing/quality assurance, certification procedures and other contact-related recurring reports for accuracy, completeness, and distribute revisions to personnel. You will collect and maintain database information required to support budget requests. You will develop, prepare, interpret, administer, and evaluate programs, methods, techniques, and practices relating to maintenance of shore side equipment.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Program Management skills to analyze, coordinate, and direct complex program operations across a large, geographic region; 2) Interpreting technical information (e.g., specifications, equipment manuals, publications, and engineer drawings) to determine applicability for assigned boat or service craft; 3) Utilizing computer-based maintenance programs to maintain and manage associated resources; 4) Determining whether contractor performed maintenance and/or overhaul work on boats, marine equipment and service craft meets standards; and 5) Analyzing benefits and cost of accomplishing boat, marine equipment and service craft maintenance and/or overhaul work in-house and/or contracting out maintenance.
