The primary purpose of this position is to perform Fuels Service Center (FSC) duties that involve the management of fuels resources, providing inventory, and accounting support of fuel and cryogenic products.

Duties
Serves as the focal point for planning, coordinating, scheduling, directing, and controlling all fuels operations to support mission requirements.
Maintains fuel accounts according to applicable directives. Uses the Fuel Automated System (FAS) to collect, store, monitor and process all fuel servicing and accounting transactions and product inventory management.
Provides assistance to customers, storage depots and other organizations. Responds to inquiries on fuel actions and reasons for delay.
Uses multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reforming electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets.
Safeguards materials, items and equipment for assigned area. Adheres to security procedures and regulations to properly safeguard materials.
Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.

- Required to work any of three normal shifts, seven days a week with relief time. Subject to recall on other shifts and extended work hours. Will be required to work weekends and holidays.
- Will be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
- Maintain qualification on emergency power generators.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Clerical and Administrative Support Positions for Supply Clerical and Technician Series, 2005.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes thorough knowledge of the overall Logistics Fuels mission and resources available, fuels regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods to provide fuels operations service. Knowledge of Logistics Fuels Automated System and Purple hub, fuels systems and cryogenic system procedures. Knowledge of technical orders and publications. Knowledge of the overall Logistics Fuels mission and resources available, fuels regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods to provide fuels operations service. Knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures. Knowledge of data entry and processing fuels transactions in Fuels Automated System. Knowledge of security regulations and guidelines. Knowledge of safety, fire and health guidelines and regulations. Knowledge of office automation software and equipment.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-05 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-06 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of logistics fuels mission and resources available, fuel regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods to provide fuels operations service. Knowledge of logistics technical orders and publications to provide fuel operations service.
Knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures. Knowledge of data entry and processing fuels transactions in Fuels Automated System.
Ability to research, compile and analyze information and data, receive, screen, review, verify and maintain fuels documents and resolves discrepancies. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of security regulations and guidelines.
Knowledge of safety, fire and health guidelines and regulations.
Knowledge of office automation software and equipment (a qualified typist is not required).
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
