About the Position:The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance.

Duties

Establish priorities for the completion of work in accordance with agency policies. Recommend program improvements for long-range planning purposes of counseling services. Manage quality and quantity of work plans for mission sustainment. Review staff assignments to ensure standards are met by staff in counseling services. Resolve conflicts by implementing new changes as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a one-year probationary period.
  • This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • This position is subject to recall to administer urinalysis testing, which may required to be called back to work extended hours, weekends, evenings, and holidays to perform emergency overtime.
  • This position requires to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
  • This position requires obtaining and maintaining a Breath Alcohol Test (BAT) Certification within one (1) year from the date of employment.
  • This position requires obtaining and maintaining a Drug Test Certification within one (1) year from the date of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position is designated as "Mission Essential" and is not subject to administrative dismissal in emergencies based on inclement weather conditions, or other emergency situations, as appropriate. - Define below.
  • A Mission Essential employee is required to report for, or remain at, work in emergency situations; dismissal or closure announcements do not apply to him/her unless his/her supervisor instructs otherwise.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in behavioral or social science, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, such as Counseling, Addiction Studies, Psychology or Sociology. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR C. Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Minimum Qualifications: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes administering an Alcohol and/or Substance Abuse prevention Program, education, and awareness to include providing education and guidance, planning curriculum, providing Employee Assistance, Suicide Prevention, Risk Reduction and Prevention, and developing and conducting public/community awareness programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11 or above. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
