Duties

As an Electronics Systems Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Serve as technical expert providing oversight and advice on all aspects of office information technology (IT) infrastructure, systems administration, monitoring, operation, and maintenance. Direct maintenance and logistics support for office electronics/observing/telecommunications/communications equipment. Provide day-to-day supervision and technical direction to office electronics staff.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-12 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following: Assisting in the testing and modification of IT systems and programs; and Providing support and maintenance for electronic, electromechanical, data acquisition, communications equipment or standalone and networked computer systems. To qualify at the GS-13 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following: Providing technical expertise in the design, testing, and modification of IT systems and programs; Coordinating support and maintenance for electronic, electromechanical, data acquisition, communications equipment, or standalone and networked computer systems; and Overseeing field maintenance electronics staff.
