You will serve as a OPERATION RESEARCH ANALYST in the INSTALLATIONS AND LOGISTICS COMMAND of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION.
Duties
You will provide operations analysis, cost analysis, and strategic resource assessment to support the development of the Marine Corps Program Objective Memorandum (POM).
You will assist in the assessment of all aspects of program resources, develop internal plans and procedures, and represent MCICOM with officials in the DoD, DON, and other Military Departments.
You will define goals and objectives, determines the best approach or solution for resolving budget and personnel shortages, and assign tasks to each team member based on their priorities and abilities.
You will plan tasks, set priorities and schedule activities as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work.
You will be responsible for analyses and evaluations of DoD, DON, Marine Corps and Marine Corps related
Navy programs.
You will develop and evaluate alternative programs to meet planning requirements and resource constraints.
You will develop improved statistical, cost, operations research and analytical concepts and models to
more effectively assess requirements, capabilities, resources, and alternatives.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
GS-14: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrated ability to independently research, collect and analyze operational quantitative data for the purpose of developing and defending improvement reports and briefs for necessary parties; with additional experience developing, adapting, modifying, and applying models to resolve programmatic problems and define and clarify alternative solutions.
GS-13: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrated experience assisting in operational research data analysis processes and assisting with the development of improvement plans for consideration and implementation; with additional experience assisting with modeling processes to forecast programmatic needs.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
