Duties
You will serve as an Electrician (High Voltage), Facilities, Maintenance and Logistics Management Department, in Wahaiwa, HI.
You will maintain, repair, and overhaul various parts of electrical distribution system (generators, transformers, convertors, regulators, switches, circuit breakers, recording instruments, etc).
You will test a wide variety of electrical instruments associated with power generation and distribution, such as coils, resistors, condensers, vacuum tubes, transistors, etc.
You will perform assigned duties utilizing standard as well as electronic voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, capacitor inductor analyzers, and other special equipment.
You will perform/ direct appropriate switching procedures to meet various normal situations, and to arrest emergency situations related to electric power distribution.
Requirements

The Screen-out Element for this position is: THE ABILITY TO WORK WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION such as:
Experience in electrical theory and power distribution systems, and ability to plan and control power generation, ability to operate control board and operators.
Experience working under the supervision of the Electrician (High Voltage) Forman who assigns work through verbal and written work orders, inspection reports, user reports, and/ or SOP's.
Experience with good visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, finger dexterity, and keen sense of hearing for new or unusual sounds (sound analysis) to determine developing equipment malfunction.
Experience working in an enclosed power distribution center, manholes, poor ventilation, and being exposed to heat, poor illumination, dust, noise on a continuous basis, vibrations and gas fumes.
