You will serve as an Electrician in the TRIREFFAC Repair Department Code 332 of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will receive and carry out instructions as required by the shop supervisor and advises other workers to follow the instructions received. You will maintain liaison and coordinates with other trade and technical personnel to discuss electrical systems and components on submarines. You will inspect and perform check-out of all repair, alteration and maintenance work accomplished for damage, wear and proper installation.

Requirements

• This is a bargaining unit position.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• This position may require travel worldwide at which time additional medical screening may be required.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Ability to perform detailed alterations and repairs, including varnishing and baking, enhances the longevity and reliability of electrical equipment, with proven expertise in inspecting submarine machinery for safety and functionality. WG-10: Ability to identify and address issues through disassembly and rewinding contributes to the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems, supported by extensive experience in submarine machinery testing. Ability to perform detailed alterations and repairs, including varnishing and baking, enhances the longevity and reliability of electrical equipment, with proven expertise in inspecting submarine machinery for safety and functionality.
