This position is located within the Behavioral Health Department with the Crow Service Unit at the Lodge Grass Clinic in Lodge Grass, MT. The Clinical Psychologist will provide mental health services while keeping with requirements of the Indian Health Service (IHS) program, state licensure laws and regulations and the appropriate accreditation and certification bodies.
A housing subsidy of up to $793.38 per pay period without out dependents or $1,012.15 with dependents may be available.
Duties
Apply advanced knowledge of psychopathology and provides professional therapeutic techniques in conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluations of patients with extremely complex psychological and behavioral health disorders.
Provide therapeutic services based on comprehensive treatment plans that outline the therapeutic goals, methods, and modality to meet the individualized treatment needs of each patient in accordance with established standards of care and approved clinical privileges.
Provide indirect patient care through telephonic interventions, consultation with collateral resources and referral to specialty services/external resources.
Prepare and maintain complete and current case records.
Provide emergency on-call crisis intervention to assist and serve as a consultant to the medical staff in dealing with patients who may be at risk of harm to themselves or others.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Psychology Series 0180
Degree: major or equivalent in psychology for all specializations except clinical psychology and counseling psychology. These two specializations have additional educational requirements, as stated below:
Clinical psychology: For positions at grades GS-11 and above, satisfactory completion of all the requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required.
Counseling psychology: For positions at grades GS-9 and above, satisfactory completion of 2 full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or satisfactory completion in an accredited educational institution of all the requirements for a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology is required.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: work as a psychologist in a mental health setting clinic or hospital while providing psychological evaluations, delivering therapeutic mental health treatment modalities for patients. Provide consultation, collaboration and follow up. Assist and refer patients with acute, chronic or severe mental illnesses and dual diagnosis patient populations, Use an electronic health records for patients.
Selective Placement Factor: Must possess and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license as a psychologist in a State, District of
Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or a territory of the United States.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
