Duties
Maintains electronic warfare and analysis equipment such as infrared/radar warning equipment, infrared/radar jamming equipment, chaff/flare dispensing systems, signal analysis equipment, recorders, etc.
Configures aircraft ECM equipment to meet mission requirements.
Troubleshoots, overhauls, repairs, modifies inspects, removes and installs avionic electronic warfare and analysis equipment.
Uploads and downloads chaff/flare dispensers.
May be required to perform ISO inspections, major modifications/TCTOs home station checks.
Documents maintenance performed and records information relating to system and components status on aircraft and historical forms/records.
Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as Operational Readiness Inspections (ORI), Inspector General (IG) inspections, and Unit Effectiveness Inspections (UEI) and mobility and command support exercises.
Processes on- and/or off-equipment line replaceable units (LRUs) and accounts for DLR assets.
Assists in performing general aircraft tasks such as refueling/defueling, servicing LOX systems, tow team duties, marshaling of aircraft, and BPO/post flight inspections.
Plans and lays out work to be accomplished in the shop which is then completed by the technician and lower graded mechanic(s).
Performs the full range of shop work.
Implements safety regulatory requirements.
Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications
This a Career Ladder position for a WG11/12. This advertisement is written for the WG11 level. Your qualifications for the WG11 and/or WG12 will be determined by your resume and questionnaire responses. If you are hired at the WG 11 level, you will be required to remain at the WG11 level for MINIMUM of 12 months, before you become ELIGIBLE to be non-competitively promoted to WG12.

COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: 15 SERIES
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:Experience or training which demonstrates a working knowledge of electronic principles involved in the generation and measurement of such elements as voltage, current, impedance, capacitance, frequency, and inductance. Experience in the use of various precision measurement instruments and standards.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
FOR WG-11: Experience or training with basic application of operating principles such as the production and utilization of oscillations over a broad range of frequencies; signal and waveform behavior, distortion, and amplification; pulse, trigger, and synchronization techniques; digital/analog processing and data conversion techniques; and a variety of display and indication methods. Experience in tracing signals and voltage paths, and skilled in the analysis of waveform characteristics such as timing, duration, frequency, and phasing. Originates test set-ups to isolate malfunctions and check performance characteristics of special or unique test panels or mockups. Experience in interpreting and applying a variety of technical electronic information such as schematic symbols, mathematical expressions and formulas, calibration procedures, and other reference materials. Experience in applying established techniques and methods of repair, testing, alignment, and calibration of equipment, which serves as test equipment or precision measurement standards. Experience in utilizing electronic circuits to measure electronic or electrical quantities to determine the performance characteristics and accuracy of other instruments and equipment.
FOR WG-12:
Must have the specialized experience to the the WG-11 as mention above, and the ability to plan and accomplish a functional shop maintenance program is essential. Requires skill in surveillance and troubleshooting techniques. This also includes performing independently in accordance with available drawings, technical orders, or specifications. Expert in planning work sequence and determines that equipment meets the requirements of serviceability. Skillful in the full range of repair, maintenance and equipment tests independently or as a team member. In-depth knowledge in determining the nature of equipment failure and extent of repair necessary on electronic equipment and operational systems. Since ECM systems work a high degree of interrelationship with other systems, the incumbent must have expert knowledge to consider the impact of repair on other equipment/systems and related devices. Thorough skill in performing test adjustments and alignments to ensure that the electronic equipment/systems and related devices are aligned/calibrated and functioning properly. In-depth knowledge to perform spot checks of completed work for compliance with acceptable advice and assistance on difficult/unusual maintenance issues and problems.
