This position will be assigned to the Air Force Services Center at Port San Antonio, TX.
This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hrs. per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.
Duties
The incumbent of this position leads a team of restaurant General Managers from multiple units within assigned area of responsibility; functions as a liaison between the brand partner and the installation restaurant; resolves operational restaurant issues; responsible for the recruiting and training of restaurant managers. Ensures assigned restaurants run smoothly while meeting budget and sales goals. Provides administrative oversight and mentoring in strategic business methods to restaurant General Managers. The incumbent may perform installation level restaurant manager duties or other operational duties to meet business needs during site visits. Communicates and promotes the brand's image and standards to stakeholders, employees and customers.
Oversees and monitors the day to day operations of multiple installation level restaurants. Sets individual restaurant operational and financial goals. Assesses performance and improves profitability of assigned restaurants thru strategic business/marketing initiatives. Reports to senior management of the Name Brand Food Program Office and coordinates with the industry brand partner. Develops promotional and marketing concepts for assigned restaurants. Ensures marketing and sales campaigns are implemented and tracks results. Provides strategic direction to continuously improve the operational effectiveness, guest satisfaction, sales and profitability of assigned units. Determines the operational practices/procedures for restaurants within area of responsibility. Builds and maintains networks to facilitate restaurant needs. Attends meetings and communicates the strategic direction of the brand to business partners. Ensures staff comply with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines. Generates and reviews financial reports to gauge restaurant's performance, identify trends, and monitor performance thru reports and tracking tools. Approves annual business plan for individual restaurants. Reviews and budgets and authorizes any deviation. Maintains statistical and financial records for assigned region. Prepares and presents staffing/sales reports. Creates and/or approves menu plans. Oversees equipment and bulk supply orders. Conducts site visits to individual restaurants ensuring they are properly stocked, clean and equipment is in proper working order. Interacts with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives. Supervises/Leads a team of General managers. Provides technical and administrative support to managers and staff within assigned area of responsibility. Delivers performance objectives and feedback. Implements employee awards and recognition program. Identifies training needs based upon restaurant's operational performance. Develops sales plans and marketing initiatives to increase volume of sales and revenue and provides recommendations to assist in achieving objectives and goals. Advises on restaurant operations; achieving targeted sales; integration of system-wide programs; or develops initiatives relevant to the success of the business. Works with human resources in implementing and accomplishing personnel administration. Interviews, hires, disciplines store managers.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires that the incumbent be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal U.S. Resident for a minimum of 3 years.

- This position may require incumbent to work overtime as mission dictates.

- This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete brand immersion training within 90 days from the date of appointment to the position.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and/or maintain ServSafe (or equivalent) certification within 90 days from the date of appointment to the position

Qualifying Experience:
Bachelor's degree in the business or hospitality field of study or experience leading a business unit in the hospitality field or equivalent; experience developing or executing marketing and business plans; experience developing budget plans; experience leading and training a team in executing day to day operations.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
