About the Position: Serves as an Education Services Officer (ESO) or branch chief with responsibility for planning, developing, managing and leading an installation-level Army Continuing Education System Program.

Duties

Direct the development of courses, curricula and programs to meet installation educational needs. Serve on panels, committees, or groups to coordinate, plan, or assess technical program matters. Develop local policies, goal and objectives for division programs. Brief management and senior leadership on the status and needs of programs. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Develops and/or directs the development of performance standards, evaluates the performance of subordinate supervisors, and reviews the evaluations made by subordinate supervisors. Arrange for classroom space, supplies and equipment needed for educational and training activities. Plans and develops local policies, goals, and objectives, of the education services and the credentialing/licensure program, IAW policies, regulations, and Department of Defense Instructions.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position requires a 1-year Supervisory Probationary period.
