Duties

You will provide psychological assessment tests and/or self-report measures, psychiatric interviews, and psychoeducation and consultation to the population served (i.e., MCRS students) and to leadership and staff throughout the command. You will primarily focus on Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant record reviews and data collection. You will support and manage the creation and maintenance of personnel records, the development of spreadsheets and data graphs, and information management in support of all elements of the MCRS psychological screening process. You will prepare daily correspondence (i.e., training agendas, meeting agendas, purchase orders, clinical appointments), collect and maintain periodic statistical data assigned to MCRS, prepare and maintain attendance rosters and statistical data You will assist in the development of the assessment and selection psychological program at MCRS, and be responsible for the development and implementation of appointment templates for the Operational Psychologist. You will provide information via telephone and in person to the members of the command, the professional staff, and civilian and military personnel in response to inquiries regarding appointments. You will be required to coordinate and reserve meeting locations (to include virtual and/or teleconference meetings), prepare open and closed case reports for required special handling of outpatient medical and personnel records

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain favorably adjudicated T3 with enrollment in CEP
  • Must have completed their state's requirement to be determined a Certified Behavioral/Mental Health Technician as evidenced by a transcript, degree/graduation certificate and proof they've passed their state's required exam

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1.Providing technical assistance and administrative support duties associated with psychological and self-report assessment measures. 2.Providing Clinical knowledge of mental health issues; the ability to review mental health self-assessments, provide analysis, with ability to identify potential mental health issues that could affect a potential applicant from serving as a Marine or Marine Corps Recruiter. 3.Knowledge of Behavioral Health Technician requirements; specifically, trained to intervene and, when required, to restrain violent or potentially violent or suicidal patients by verbal or physical means in order to deescalate mental health related situations should the need arise while screening. 4.Knowledge of medical-legal documentation and record keeping requirements.
