A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected. The display of a salary range on this vacancy shall not be construed as granting an entitlement to a higher rate of pay. This position is with Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in the Maintenance Division located in Wallpack Center, New Jersey.

Duties

Review and inspect the progress of work, and make necessary recommendations or changes in methods and procedures to reduce or control cost, and accomplish work assignments effectively. Maintain work order system data, and project data in database systems, and uses data to plan work, review efficiency of operations, track labor costs, report out on data, and to maintain records. Manage historic structures which includes administrative, visitor use buildings, and housing units. Supervise or lead a variety of trade workers including crafts such as carpentry, masonry, woodcrafter, roofing, and painting. Act as a Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), or interact with contracting officers, vendors and contractors on construction, rehabilitation, maintenance contracts and procurement issues.
